Honda Element Feature Highlights
Exterior

Activity Zone Open the clamshell tailgate and side cargo doors for spontaneous socializing at the beach or big game.
Dressing Room Lift off the removable skylight (4WD models) and breathe or stand up through the roof to change clothes in an instant.
Interior
Adaptable Configurable seating and versatile cargo design allow you to flip, fold or take the rear seats out for 64 different space options.
Functional Don't worry about dirt, sand, renegade food crumbs or even pet spills. With its black, scratch-resistant utility floor and tough water-resistant FXC™ seat fabric, the Element is rugged to use and easy to clean up.
Inside Stuff Big, easy-to-read analog gauges, an easy-grip shifter and an MP3 auxiliary input jack—everything feels natural in the Element.
Performance
Big Motivation Take off with 166 horsepower under the hood, and 1,500 lbs. of towing capacity. (Towing requires the addition of the Honda accessory trailer hitch and hitch ball. Refer to the owner’s manual for additional towing information).
Balanced Power The Element’s advanced 16-valve DOHC engine design provides the best of both worlds. Power whenever you need it and twin balance shafts for smooth, quiet running.
Sophisticated Suspension Smoothing out the bumps with its Compact Double Wishbone Rear Suspension and precise steering, the Element’s road manners may be better than yours.
Safety
In Charge Standard on every Element, is a complement of advanced safety systems to keep you out of trouble and in command. Vehicle Stability Assist™ (VSA®) helps sense oversteer or understeer in an emergency situation, and then adjusts brake pressure at each wheel and/or reduces engine power to help restore driver control and keep you on course. 4-wheel anti-lock disc brakes (ABS), along with Brake Assist, allows full braking force for authoritative stopping. And for better road composure, the Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD), helps balance braking forces and the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) alerts the driver when a tire’s pressure reaches a significantly low level.
Strong Box Along with Side-Impact Door Beams and front and rear crush zones, the Element was built with a highly rigid Unit-Body Construction to lessen intrusion into the passenger cabin. This reinforced body structure is designed to target the highest safety ratings for occupant protection.
Expanding Protection While sharing our roads with many other drivers, a time may arise where collision is unavoidable. For superior defense during impact, Element occupants are surrounded by no less than six airbags. The array of coverage includes dual-stage, dual-threshold front airbags, front side airbags with Passenger-Side Occupant Position Detection System (OPDS) and side curtain airbags—all standard.
