Honda SkyDeck

MIAMI, FL: Here's another interesting concept car unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show. The Honda Skydeck is essentially a Honda Insight warped and forged into a sleek, futuristic minivan. Scissor doors swing up in the front while the rear doors sport sliders, and the whole thing has center-mounted, super thin, floating sport seats to ease access into that spacious third row.

Once inside, passengers can get an eyeful of sky, thanks to the all-glass roof, and the gas-electric hybrid should have enough spunk to get you some place scenic, as reports are suggesting everything from a 1.8 liter engine all the way up to a 2.5 liter, plus the electric motor, for a production model. The windows, and oddly, the rims are translucent green, to support that tidy "I'm environmentally friendly" theme.

It's exciting that Honda has decided to evolve the Insight concept into other car classes, especially when the result is as functional and boiled down to its most base, beautiful essence as shown in these photos.
