By end of 2010 and through 2011,Honda will roll out a battery-electric vehicle demonstration in the US, with participants to include Stanford University, Google, and the whole city of Torrence, CA. They will be evaluating Honda's upcoming electric and hybrid vehicles, including a mysterious "battery-electric commuter vehicle" and a more efficient lithium-ion battery for their line of upcoming hybrids. Torrence will receive the plug-in hybrid electric vehicle for evaluation by no later than year's end. Very exciting times, as it is apparent many car companies are slowing turning away from conventional fuels, and marketing the alternatives. These next few years should prove interesting for the industry as a whole.
