2011 Honda Pilot

Honda engineers continued to refine the Pilot's second generation designs, making it an even stronger choice as a family-oriented SUV, giving it plenty of cabin room for large groups and offering a wide variety of accommodations and cutting-edge features, like expanding the availability of the originally exclusive Honda Satellite-Linked Nav System to the EX-L model.

The Honda Pilot excels at providing the capabilities that people desire most from a family-oriented SUV. The Pilot emphasizes safety, versatile cargo areas and comfortable space for adults and children, while also providing a smart balance between all-weather capabilities, refined driving dynamics and overall fuel efficiency," says Vicki Poponi, assistant vice president of Product Planning for American Honda Motor Co., Inc.

A 250 HP V6 engine is under the hood, with Honda's own Variable Cylinder Management, a system that allows for optimum fuel efficiency on your typical travels by deactivating unneeded cylinders, but intelligently and automatically delivering the raw power of all 6 cylinders the instant you need it. Variable Torque Management 4-Wheel-Drive, another Honda technology orchestrates the management of power to each individual tire, ensuring you have maximum traction and control in even the harshest of driving conditions. The 2011 Honda Pilot also comes with a standard towing hitch, making the 4WD models capable of towing up to 4,500 pounds, and 3,500 pounds on the 2WD.

The exterior styling is contemporary and bold, keeping the Pilot easy on the eyes while maximizing the space inside. Despite the generous accommodations, you’ll be happy to hear the 2011 Honda Pilot measures less than 16 in length, a dimension that keeps it garage friendly and easy to maneuver.

As the number one priority in all Hondas, safety is not overlooked in the 2011 Honda Pilot, either. Honda’s Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) body design redirects energy to circumvent the passenger cabin in the result of a collision. Vehicle Stability Control helps to keep the Pilot upright on its wheels and three-row side curtain airbags compliment the standard array of passenger airbags. Anti-Lock brakes with electronic brake distribution technology assists the 2011 Honda Pilot by maximizing control during moments of unexpected hard-braking.

All-in-all, the 2011 Honda Pilot is shaping up to be the best choice for anyone seeking a family-oriented crossover SUV. Check one out today at South Honda, and see for yourself the excellent quality, efficiency and family orientation available on the all-new Pilot.
