The 2012 Pilot shows off its bold, new look wherever it goes.

    Bringing Up the Rear

The tailgate with lift-up glass hatch makes it easier to load and unload groceries or sports equipment.

    A Quieter Ride

Normally only found on luxury vehicles, Pilot EX-L and Touring models feature an acoustic windshield with double-pane glass, so outside clamor will be significantly lessened.

    Bold Styling

Strong. Rugged. Modern. From its clean, uncluttered lines down to its standard 17-inch wheels, the exterior commands attention.

Eight people, a lot of gear or any combination of the two can fit comfortably inside the 2012 Pilot.

    Versatile Seating for Eight

Sixteen different configurations are possible thanks to the 60/40 split-folding second- and third-row seats, and third-row access is quick and easy.

    Find Your Way

With the Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System with Voice Recognition, Off-Road Tracking and Rearview Camera[1] you will never have to stop for directions again.

    Call Hands Free

Bluetooth HandsFreeLink[2] is a huge convenience. It lets you make and receive calls with your compatible cell phone while your hands stay on the wheel and your eyes stay on the road.

    Keep Your Cool

With the Pilot's Tri-Zone Automatic Climate Control System with Air Filtration (EX and above), your passengers can choose the exact temperature they want, and you don't have to lift a finger.

[1] The Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System is standard on Touring models in the United States, except Alaska. See your local Honda dealer for details.

Drive with a purpose, a mission and the knowledge that you have power to spare.

    Powerfully Efficient

Honda's innovative Variable Cylinder Management (VCM) helps to increase mileage[1] and lower emissions by automatically deactivating and reactivating multiple cylinders, depending on the driver's needs.

    Ride Smooth

4-wheel independent suspension features a front strut/multi-link rear design for a smooth ride and excellent handling.

    Variable Torque Management

Variable Torque Management 4-wheel drive (VTM-4) automatically transfers power to the rear wheels when the system detects loss of front-wheel drive traction.

[1] 18 city/25 hwy/21 combined mpg for 2WD models and 17 city/24 hwy/20 combined mpg for 4WD models. Based on 2012 EPA mileage estimates, reflecting new EPA fuel economy methods beginning with 2008 models. Use for comparison purposes only. Do not compare to models before 2008. Your actual mileage will vary depending on how you drive and maintain your vehicle.

Our safety philosophy takes shape in the advanced safety features of all Honda vehicles.

    5-Star Crash Safety Performance

Drive with confidence in the Pilot. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has given it 5-star frontal and 5-star side crash ratings[1].

    Active Safety Features

An array of standard safety features is ready to protect you and your passengers in every Pilot. These include Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) with traction control, which helps sense oversteer and understeer conditions, then brakes individual wheels and/or reduces throttle input to help restore your intended path of travel. Additionally, the Pilot is equipped with LATCH (Lower Anchors and Tethers for CHildren) in all three second-row seating positions and in the right-side third-row seat.

    Peace of Mind

While sharing the road with many other drivers, sometimes a collision just cannot be avoided. So standard safety features in the Pilot can help provide a robust defense. Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) body structure helps absorb and disperse crash energy over a large area in a frontal impact. ACE also makes the Pilot more crash compatible in frontal impacts with vehicles of differing ride heights. Additionally, front, front side airbags with passenger-side Occupant Position Detection System (OPDS) and three-row side curtain airbags with rollover sensor all help to protect you and your passengers.

    Honda's Safety Philosophy

Honda is committed to providing safety for everyone—that means crash protection not only for our own drivers and passengers, but also for other vehicle occupants, and injury mitigation for pedestrians. We are dedicated to identifying and implementing advanced designs and features that help enhance the safety of vehicles on the road.

[1] Government star ratings are part of the National Highway Traffic Administration's (NHTSA's) New Car Assessment Program (www.safercar.gov). Model tested with standard side-impact airbags (SABs).

Consider the Pilot your toolbox on wheels.

    Adaptable Cargo and Storage Solutions

With its second- and third-row seats folded flat, a cavernous 87 cubic feet of cargo space is available. Think plywood, coolers or a year's worth of frozen burritos.

    Load It Up

The tailgate with lift-up glass hatch makes it easy to load and unload whatever cargo you're carrying. The Touring model's power tailgate makes access even easier—you can open or close the tailgate with the push of a button.

    Ready to Tow

Standard equipment like a Class III trailer hitch, heavy-duty radiator and fluid coolers means the Pilot comes ready with most of what you need for some serious hauling—up to 4,500 pounds (4WD)[1]. And the Touring model includes a trailer harness that provides electrical power to the trailer lights.

[1] Maximum towing capacity for 4WD models is 4,500 lbs. Premium unleaded fuel is recommended when towing above 3,500 lbs. Maximum towing capacity for 2WD models is 3,500 lbs. Towing requires the addition of the Honda accessory towing kit and hitch ball. Trailer harness standard on Touring models. Consult your local Honda dealer for additional towing information.
