Active Safety Features

An array of standard safety features is ready to protect you and your passengers in every Pilot. These include Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) with traction control, which helps sense oversteer and understeer conditions, then brakes individual wheels and/or reduces throttle input to help restore your intended path of travel. Additionally, the Pilot is equipped with LATCH (Lower Anchors and Tethers for CHildren) in all three second-row seating positions and in the right-side third-row seat.

Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) body structure helps absorb and disperse crash energy over a large area in a frontal impact. ACE also makes the Pilot more crash compatible in frontal impacts with vehicles of differing ride heights. Additionally, front, front side airbags with passenger-side Occupant Position Detection System (OPDS) and three-row side curtain airbags with rollover sensor all help to protect you and your passengers.
